Schmidt’s Market & Produce is a homegrown local gourmet market on Long Island. Founded as a produce market in 1980, we evolved by adding our famous soup and salad bar and later, cheese, bread and specialty items. Further additions included a deli, butcher and sushi departments, as well as flower concession and groceries. Although produce is still our biggest seller, Schmidt’s prepared hot foods have also become legendary. Year-round offerings of five or six hot daily entrees, several fish selections and four homemade daily soup choices have the phone ringing off the hook. Everything is prepared on premises by our talented chefs.
Seasonal items include pumpkins, gourds, flowers, and more.
